What is Telehealth?

Telehealth is a way to provide health care services using a computer, phone, or tablet. It is widely used in pediatric clinics across the country. It is often a convenient way for families to access services if they live in a remote location, have limited transportation or other situations that make driving to therapy difficult. Other benefits of telehealth are increased parent involvement and improved carryover of therapeutic activities in the home. I am excited about the opportunity to provide Occupational Therapy services in your home. In addition, parent conferences can be scheduled at times convenient to both parents using the telehealth platform.

How do I pay for Telehealth Services ?

Telehealth is billed at the normal in-clinic rate. Most major insurance companies reimburse for services delivered by telehealth. During the COVID-19 emergency all major insurance carriers are paying full coverage for telehealth services. We can bill your insurance company with the same codes as in the clinic. However, we designate that it is a telehealth service.
